  • 120 of the 144 entrants (83%) hail from U.S. hometowns
  • They hail from exactly half of the states (25), plus Washington D.C
  • More than one-half of those from concentration within three states: 
    23 from California ... 22 from New York ... 21 from New Jersey
  • Texas with 8
  • Massachusetts with 5, Virginia with 4
  • 3 each from Georgia, Illinois, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island
