Ivy League Round-Robin - Final Results (part-2; Feb. 28)

The #4-ranked Princeton men (5-0) and women (6-0) both went undefeated during the two-part Ivy League Round-Robin Championships (Feb. 21 at Cornell; Feb. 28 at Penn), giving the Tigers fencing program its first Ivy League title (for either gender) since 2001. Sixth-ranked Harvard and #7 Penn tied for second in the men's standings (3-2), although Penn won the head-to-head matchup (15-12). The #5 Columbia women (5-1) defeated #10 Penn in the final round (16-11) to finish as the women's runner-up for the second straight year.

CF360 is in the process of compiling a complete and detailed recap of the two-part Ivy League competition – with the analysis to include listing of the top individual finishers, top weapon groups, pivotal bouts, photos, quotes, etc.

(Note: Columbia's results again were skewed due to World Cup absences, particularly on the men's side, as the All-America trio of men's foilist Kurt Getz, men's epeeist Dwight Smith and women's foilist Nicole Ross all did not compete in Sunday's Ivy League Championships. Columbia's men's team, also beset by injuries and illness, again had to juggle its lineup and ended up shifting two fencers to secondary weapons).
